TAG Heuer 3000 Series, ref. 935.406
This is a two-tone mid-size diver from TAG Heuer's short-lived 3000 Series. It has a stainless steel case with a gold-plated 12-sided bezel, a champagne/gold dial with a date window, and a matching two-tone bracelet. The case measures about 38mm across and 9mm thick. It's powered by a quartz movement based on the ETA 955.114 and is water resistant to 200m. The series was introduced in 1984 as a sharper, more angular evolution of the 2000 Series. It carried over largely unchanged after the 1985 TAG takeover and stayed in the catalogue for only about five years.
The squared-off case and faceted bezel make it one of the most distinctive late-80s TAG Heuer designs. It's a characterful, affordable neo-vintage diver from the transition between the Heuer and TAG Heuer eras.
