TAG Heuer 2000 Series Chronograph 165.806
One of the more uncommon and desirable references in the vintage TAG Heuer catalogue, and a watch with real motorsport provenance. Ayrton Senna wore a 165.806 at the 1989 Brazilian Grand Prix, his first TAG Heuer as brand ambassador, which has done much to raise the profile of this reference among collectors in recent years.
At its heart is the Lemania LWO 283, a forty-jewel automatic chronograph movement built on the well-regarded ETA 2892 base with a chronograph module. A properly specified movement in a watch that is often overlooked next to its more famous stablemates.
A stainless steel professional diver's chronograph rated to 200 metres, with rotating bezel, signed crown and date function. Supplied on its stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp and diver's extension.
An increasingly sought-after piece, particularly in original condition, and one of the strongest value propositions in the vintage TAG Heuer market.
