Omega Seamaster Automatic, ref. 166.0206
This late-1970s Seamaster has a clean silver dial with applied baton indices and matching baton hands. It sits in a stainless steel case about 35mm across and 10.3mm thick. It runs on Omega's automatic calibre 1012, with a date window at 3 o'clock and a centre seconds hand. The case is barrel-shaped, with a clip-on caseback and a fluted crown. It's usually seen on a steel bracelet with an Omega-signed folding clasp. The original clasp is reference 1286/249.
The silver dial is the most versatile version of the reference. It's understated and easy to wear, with a reliable in-house automatic movement, and it makes a solid entry point into vintage Omega.
