The Omega Constellation 168.005 “Pie Pan” is a mid-1960s chronometer-certified dress watch from Omega’s flagship Constellation line. It features the distinctive stepped “pie pan” dial, named for its faceted, sloping outer edge, housed in a 14K gold-capped case that combines the appearance of solid gold with greater durability. The screw-back case bears the Constellation observatory medallion, symbolising Omega’s achievements in precision timekeeping. Powered by the automatic calibre 561, the reference 168.005 reflects Omega’s emphasis on accuracy, refinement, and modern design during the post-war era. Introduced as part of the Constellation family launched in 1952, Pie Pan models have since become among the most recognisable and collectible expressions of Omega’s mid-century watchmaking heritage.
